Hi just me and my dizziness/nausea/pyrexia etc
Update. Got results from testing at hospital, all seem fine apart from my Saccadic eye movements which were borderline abnormally increased latency of responses.
Have no idea what that means but basically I have been back to doctor and I have asked for a private referral to a dizzy specialist as I am getting nowhere and although I can't really afford to, I need to get something done.
I still get bouts of vertigo, always nausea, always feverish and generally off balance. Dr says it is a virus and I have to drink plenty and rest.
My ESR rate has been raised for the last 4 months months and has one up again to 53, but again dr says that is just showing that im not well, prob cause of virus.
Going round in circles literally! But have got this private appointment mid september. Anything else I should be asking for?

Is this a "cop out " diagnosis?.......Probably;-)
Make sure that you have all the tests that you have had before seeing the private ENT surgeon.
I am not much use....but i am interested, so keep me informed.

I can't offer any advice either only I feel for you - as I suffer from vertigo, dizziness and the nausea comes with it and it is quite a debilititating thing to get. My consultant put her scope to my ear for literally less than a second and told me I have Menieres ( I am deaf so she said that was probably the problem). However I have been deaf from I was two now I am over 60 - why do I get it now.
A list of things does trigger it off
Stress
prescription Drugs
anxiety
depression
much more - also I find whether I take the Stemetil or not I still take the attacks. All I can ask for they go eventually and you will get peace for another wee while. If you are anxious - could you ask your doctor for anti-anxiety pills in the meantime - ie valium 5 - that calms it down for a quite a while. Empathy for you creamegg - it is a rotten thing to get.
