I'M not sure that "cough medicines " will be the answer, if you are going to work tonight i would take Ibuprofen 400mgms before you go and then the same dose every 4 hours.
Whooping cough?
I find ordnary cough medicines don't work at all, but this bronchostop may work, I've seen it advertised a heck of a lot lately and I may try it the next tme I have a nagging cough. I sympathise tinks.
I had a shocker of a cough last jan, so bad it made me fight for breath. Doc gave me ventolin which made it better almost immediately and fixed it completely in 48 hours. He said that the virus had caused this in a lot of people and they were finding ventolin better than cough meds or antibiotics provided the chest was clear.
