\\\\ are statins have been marked as urgent \\\
No harm will come to someone who is without statins for a weekend....or week for that matter.
you might try phoning 111 if you have the person’s name, or phone your GP surgery out of hours number. Have you opened the package, there might be further info inside. I don’t think statins are ever urgent in the same way that insulin would be.

Thank you , tried police , but no luck, if they are not that urgent it will have to wait till Monday.
is it an unusual name ? look in phone book ?
i take statins but sometimes I run out of them or I forget to order them so have done without them for maybe a week as Sqad has said. The patient will be fine also who knows maybe she has "extra".
A chemist closed on a Saturday ?
Question Author
yes we live in darkest County Durham,i couldnt believe it either, we have solved problem took it to doctors surgery, which is open sat mornings for appts only, got the feeling they knew who patient was ,and said they would sort it,, they have no phone service on Saturdays so we had to drive down, unbelievable in this day and age.
Not unusual if it's out in the sticks Anne.
Problem solved. :-)
Society could,do,with a few more like you catswhiskers. Well done.
This business about chemists closed on a Saturday is becoming a norm for a very good reason. My wife and I are registered at different surgeries in this city of learning and both surgeries have independent pharmacies bolted on to the building. Both surgeries are closed on a Saturday, as is the norm these days, and as the pharmacies are part of the building with the same type of security shutters, alarms etc, so the pharmacies have to be closed too. Besides, the pharmacies would do very little business on a weekend without the surgery being open.
Not a very trustworthy pharmacy imo....ours checks three or four times so this sort of mistake can't happen.
