Rotor Cuff Damage
7 Answers
Having an injection in my shoulder next Wednesday to try and help with pain caused by the above. (Cortisone I think, didn't ask)
I am wondering if I will be ok to drive on the Friday after. (Have a 200 mile round trip to make)
Anyone any experience of this please.

The first injection didn't work (went in wrong place IMO) but the second a month later was a miracle cure and I've never suffered since. I was a bit stiff for 24 hours and then it seemed to kick in. However yours may not work so well. Could you do the drive now without the injection?
yes, ideally, get someone to drive you ferlew.....you may think you are ok and then you catch it in the wrong place and it's agony - however, which shoulder and how high can you lift your shoulder....I would be more bothered if it was your left and if your car is a gear-shift.......
I had mine treated in the States by steroids on a 5,4, 3, 2, 1 regime over 5 days - and it worked.

Taking all the aforesaid in, I am thinking I may ring the surgery and see if I can get a later appointment for the injection.
The little trip has been booked for many months, it's a parchment workshop. Don't know of anyone who would drive me.
Been in pain since beginning of March, another week (if I can get the appointment moved) won't make a lot of difference.
Had several in my hip, but they were all done in the hospital, with a local injection, and under ultrasound to get the jab spot on.....this one is being done in the surgery.
