Hedgehog Poop
11 Answers
I am very much a nature lover but every morning I'm finding three or more hedgehog poops on the lawn. Combined with the one or two cat poops, I'm getting a bit fed up with having to clear it all up before being able to walk on the grass without fear of standing in something unpleasant.
The cat poop seems impossible to stop but is there anything I can do to deter the hedgehog poop happening, I don't really want to block off their entrance/exit and am wondering why it's only started happening in the last few weeks.

The cat poop is definitely cat poop, I've seen them performing, we've had fox poop in the past and know the difference.
As I said, I'm just looking to deter the hedgehogs from pooping if possible, not eliminate them from the garden. The hedgehog poop is very recognisable, they kind of trail it out over six or eight inches, it's quite runny although some is solid.
I hadn't thought of it being a whole troop/pack/herd/pride of hedgehogs but that would probably explain why there's the amount there is. I do a poop patrol every morning to identify where it is so we don't inadvertently step in it.
Thanks for the replies, looks like we're stuck with it till they hibernate.
