I had an argument with my Steak and Ale Pie last night...I've burnt my mouth. I think there may have been a blister as there was a bit of what I can assume was skin flapping around. The area around my teeth is rough and red. It's still a wee bit sore but not nippy like last night. Can drink fine, eating certain things is awkward.

I'm using mouthwash to help keep it clean...will it heal alright as its in a funny place doing this?

Don't want to go to the Dr unless I have to.

It will settle, no need to go to the doctor.
Keep on with the mouthwashes.
Take ibuprofen tablets for the pain.

Thank you Sqad and Bathsheba :)
Nice cold natural yoghurt will soothe it in the meantime. Miserable for you. It should heal quite quickly.

Good idea Patsy! I contemplated ice cream or an ice cube last night but couldn't bare it at the time.

It could be worse it's up there with the burn I had after a bikini wax - ouch is all I will say.

I'm sure it will
Chlorhexidine or Difflam mouthwashes would be the most appropriate to use, but it should heal uneventfully

I've actually got some Difflam for when I have sore throats!

It's not too bad at the moment but it gets aggravated after I eat.
