Jaundice Or Something Else?
14 Answers
When I arrived at my daughters on Monday straight away I said that her 10 month old looked slightly yellow. I'd only seen her the month before and she was fine. Daughter and bf couldn't see it but admitted my son had said exactly the same thing the week before . Told them to get her checked at the doctors. Bf has taken her today as daughter can't drive after op.
He's just got back and said he saw the nurse, who called the doctor in and both agreed she did and they are to take her straight to the paediatric ward at the hospital as she might be jaundiced. Her eyes aren't yellow at all so what else could it be? Don't your eyes always have a yellow tinge with jaundice?

If the consultant has seen the child and sent him home
the the jaundice level has is normal ( otherwise it is a keep in job) -
and there is nothing to worry about
has the child been given a follow up ?
[The most common cause of jaundice in older babies and children is an infection of the liver, called hepatitis. Other causes are very rare]
