Life Can Be So Cruel...

My best friends sister in law dropped dead from a sudden heart attack two weeks ago. Everyone devastated, especially her husband and daughter. Funeral was a few days ago. Yesterday the brother himself collapsed at home with the daughter. Ambulance called - twisted bowel. Friend visited him and he was conscious after surgery. She gets call late lastnight to say he’d taken turn for the worse - septicaemia had taken hold. Rushed to the hospital but he died at midnight. So not only has she lost her brother and SIL but the daughter has lost both parents in two weeks. Just awful.

Thankyou so much everyone. It’s just really made me think today that you must never know what tomorrow will bring, and to make the most of every second. I know that sounds a bit naff but you all know what I mean. We take so much for granted.

We do, Smow. We assume that we will all wake up tomorrow and all will be well but that is not always the case. :-(

So sorry to hear this Smow. I am struggling tonight as a friend has been admitted to hospital with advanced cancer. Quite emotional when her normally dour husband is crying with you. Life can be cruel indeed x
