My doctor keeps saying drink lots of water, now I can drink beer, but put a glass of water in front me and it takes me ages to drink it! I've tried fruit juice and can sort of manage that, my question is... Is there any food colouring/additive that can mimick beer? TIA

How about alcohol free beer?
Mis lemon juice or cranberry. I think you'll always find it difficult to drink water. Just keep some handy and sip thru the day. I personally love drinking water.
Much easier to drink water with food... always pour yourself a glass of water with your tea/dinner/ a sandwich
Drink tea instead.

Decaffeinated if that is a worry.
Try sugar free squash/cordial. Some do taste a little chemical though. Probably the sweetener used.
I suppose it depends where you get your water from
We get ours fron Severn Trent and it tastes great .

Try drinking water that has been in the fridge and is well chilled
^^^Of course, Severn-Trent have many different water sources that are used to supply potable water....some are good, some not-so good (taste-wise)
Drink Sparkling Water you'll be surprised at the difference.

We must have one of the the good sources .
any watery non alcoholic drink will be ok....but you could try this.... Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation

We always have a couple of large Filter Jugs on the go. When I'm home for most of day I usually have a glass of water to hand.
Try drinking Malvern Water.
Drink it from a bottle instead of a glass. Tap water is fine.
Some people say that drinking tea doesn't count, as apparently once stained by tea it's no longer water - for water to work as a proper fluid it has to have a name with "spring" in it and preferably cost a pound a bottle. The Continental water works much better, hence the higher price.
I can't stand tap water - I can always taste the chlorine etc. - but I have discovered that I can enjoy drinking various bottled waters. They always have different flavours. I prefer sparkling water, definitely tastier for me. You could try mixing non-alcoholic beer with sparkly? I mix tonics of various sorts with mine when I'm bored. :)
Is there any food colouring/additive that can mimick beer?

Not really. Just sip cold water, at regular intervals, throughout the day.

One sip at a time.
