A while back I was talking about my bowel movements being slightly lighter than normal although still within the normal range. They are still the same and now I am experiencing stomach pain radiating to my back, flatulence at times stomach rumbling . The pain in my stomach has been going on for a couple of weeks now so am off to the Doctors this afternoon. Very worried, could it be my pancreas? I need to be prepared for what the Doctors says as I live on my own and do not have any family left, lost one of my friends last year and now only have one friend left, who unfortunately is away at the moment. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Though it's understandable you want input and ideas, I shan't guess at anything but say that you are doing the right thing to go and get this checked out.

I think Sqad may ask....what do you mean by "stomach"?......high up, where the stomach actually is....or, lower down, below your navel?

Oh right by stomach I mean round the rib cage. I did have problems a few years ago with similiar symptoms and the Doctors gave me lanzaprozole and Colofac, it took ages to clear up but was much better. Since then I have watched what I eat and have avoided gluten and milk, although recently have introduced them back again. Never had consistent pain like this though for a couple of weeks, although there again I am not taking anything for it other than a few tablets of Zantac which did nothing.
It could be your pancreas or more likely gall bladder stones and you will certainly needs some investigations.
By the time you read this, you will have seen the doctor, so i will leave it at that.
do you think I should see the Doctor ?
yes I do

Doctor does not think anything to worry about, back on the tablets, got to take a stool sample to see if I have some bug in my system, such a relief.
Thanks for the feedback.
So glad it's nothing to worry about riptide ...
