Any Idea

A small sponge ball is now stuck in the drain Urgh. I tried to use litter picker but the drain isn't wide enough to pick it up.

Any idea what I can use - I am loathe to put my arm down plus don't think arm is long enough.

Can't you use a draining spoon? Or one of them spoons for taking veg out of a saucepan?

a knitting needle may help with a bit of blue tack stuck on the end .

ill try the draining spoon but the sponge looks very old and hard to grip and has sort swelled to the width of the drain.

In that case, how about stabbing it with a large carving knife? If you have one.

What sort of drain are you talking about? Put your arm in and then wash it.!

Put rubber gloves on and then do what Mexican18 suggests. Don't hesitate, don't think too much about it.

I'm assuming that you're talking about the kitchen sink drain. In that case, take the trap off and push it out instead of trying to pull it up.

well on closer inspection - it is a very old tennis ball.

tried vacuum cleaner - wont grip. I need to get down on knees to get it with strainer etc but I can get down but can't get up.
