The last two days my knuckles in my right hand have been SO painful. Both the upper joint and the main knuckle. It's radiating up my fingers into the hand. I have done very little typing over the last week although I have got very bad tendinitis and tenosynivitis which I thought were most wrist related.

Fingers are really stiff in the morning too. Is this likely to be arthritis? Any tips on how to ease the pain?

Could be chilblains. Are they red/swollen, a bit tingly and itchy at times?

Not tingly or itchy. Main knuckles on 2 fingers appear slightly swollen but I can't be certain.
Scroll down to 'Osteoarthritis of the hand':

It would appear to me that you've described some of the symptoms listed there.
Based on your OP description, I would favour rheumatoid arthritis.
I had similar symptoms in my right hand a bit over a year ago. Bad pain and terrible stiffness on waking. Googling made me think rheumatoid arthritis...But it disappeared of its own accord before I could see a doctor. Now, I often have swelling with no pain in my thumb and forefinger.

Hmmm. Neither of those look nice. Am favouring pasta atm in the hope it will go away. I'm getting old.....
If you were a bloke I'd advise you to use your left hand;-)

Much too early for an accurate diagnosis and could be due to many, many things....arthritis of both types, repetitive strain injuries, gout, carpal tunnel syndrome.........you name it.

Advice: Ibuprofen 400mgs three times a day after food and monitor the situation for the next 5 days.

I like the post of pasta at 23.11.........
You’d know if you had rheumatoid arthritis, i doubt you do.

Could be anything from early onset arthritis to opening too many prezzies at christmas! Take anti-inflamatorys and see how you feel

...I dont know if that's a good or bad thing...
*confused in Plymouth * ;)
No! no! no!....it's a compliment pasta........
Oh...that's a relief.
I'll spend the day smiling now ;)
Go to your GP and get blood tests done.

I had a similar problem and it turns out I was Vit B and Vit D deficient. My joints were really painful, especially in my hands.
Ummmm....Barmaid has only had it for 2 days.........bit early for tests wouldn't you think?

Often Auto-immune diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis can lurk for months without significant symptoms.

I would suggest going for a blood test to rule out RA. Its a simple test for Rheumatoid Factor. If its elevated you may have RA which could be a reactive form, especially if you have suffered recently with an infection.
