I don't normally get that het up over anything like this, but in light of the current news emanating from China - and now Italy ... our down the road neighbour is about to go on one of his regular trips to Thailand, and is due back at the end of April. Am concerned that, even if he doesn't get the virus while he's there, and doesn't display any of the advised signs of the virus, he could be a carrier and, as he usually pops in to say hello when he gets back from these trips - just wondered how we should play this .... neither my husband nor I (we're in our late 60s) want a bout of this illness. Any thoughts? Thanks, Chox.
Have your coats ready to put on when the doorbell rings. If it’s him you can say ‘Lovely to see you back, but we’re just going out. Hope you had a great time. Bye,’
Serious answer is that I agree with Ellipsis. Its two months away and by then it should be clearer which way this is going to go. All you can do now is wait and see.
Thanks guys, and appreciate all your comments. Yes, it is 2 months away, so we will wait and see how it all pans out! But really appreciate your advice - and loved some of the humorous ones, too! At the same time, and interestingly, two items which I ordered from Amazon and which were coming from China - have failed to arrive, so I am getting refunds .... so thankfully, I don't have to have them in the house! Cheers again, Chox.
