I have been taking collagen tablets in order to reduce knee pain. they seem to have worked although I can't say with certainty that it isn't all in the mind.
Until recently, the tablets were pure collagen with just gelatine and an anti-caking agent and they were to be taken at bedtime with water.
i recently bought a different brand (Jointace) because i couldn't buy the usual ones. The new ones contain not only collagen but a host of other ingredients such as glucosamine, chondroitin and various minerals and vitamins. the instructions tell me to take them with the main meal and a cold drink.
I would much rather take them at bedtime.
Will they not be as effective at taken at night? I would appreciate any comments, even if they tell me that i am fooling myself and wasting money taking collagen anyway!
Thank you both for the replies. I wonder why an answer was removed? I think your answer, Sqad, looked like something from the Delphic Oracle. Is it the timing or the tablets that "won't make a jot of difference"?
Husband used to take those pills to help with pain in his joints. Doesn’t now.
People talk about the oil lubricating their joints, but how can it when goes through the digestion system first?
