Covid Jabs Side Effects?

My wife and I are being jabbed in a few hours.
She is concerned about the possible!e side effects of the jab.
What can she expect in a worse case scenario?

seems to be standard worse case is a few days of mild flu like illness. If she has ever had serious allergic reaction then she may not be allowed to have the job but I gather its checked at the vac centre.

For most, it seems to be tiredness and maybe a bit of a fever for a day or so. Just feeling a bit rough, which passes. I have been told that giving side-effects was more likely to put people off, than reassure them... so please don't be put off!

Boy #1 had a sore arm, but he also had that with the flu jab.

i am having my first vaccination of saturday, and too worry about any side effects.

My partner had his on Monday and is absolutely fine, not even a sore arm.

that's good, however i have had bad turns with some meds, and have worried about this one.... i will go for it anyway, and hope that its fine

Normal vaccination reactions

It is normal to have certain reactions after a vaccination: There may be redness, swelling or pain around the injection site. Fatigue, fever, headache and aching limbs are also not uncommon in the first three days after vaccination.

These normal vaccine reactions are usually mild and subside after a few days. They show that the vaccine is working, because it stimulates the immune system and the body forms antibodies against the infection that is only "feigned" by the vaccination.

They recommend paracetamol for any headache or fever, so I took some anyway just in case but didn't feel anything, not even the heaviness in the arm that was jabbed. Maybe a little woozy for the day after but with the tablets and just mooching around doing nothing there was nothing to really report.

Mr U had pfizer yesterday, today feeling cold and tired, but otherwise says he is fine.
Don't know if it is just coincidence but among our friends those that had Astra Zenica have had more side effects than those that have had the Pfizer.

Had Pfizer vac and arm was sore at the time and also next day but fine since

My dad just had a sore arm which passed within 24hrs. He had the Pfizer.

had AZ on tuesday, no side effects other than a sore arm the following day

No side effect from my AZ vaccination or my friend from his Pfizer.

Had my jab month ago. Bit of swelling for a couple of days and a bit sensitive to touch the injection site. Didn’t feel the jab go in. Looking forward to second dose.

Astra Zenica. Very tired the day after, great the day after and then a fluey like couple of days with a slight temperature. Nothing dreadful. An upset tum, but that happens to me whenever I am under the weather. No sore arm at all and I had a deeper jab because I'm on blood thinners. I wasn't told why, but googled the reason!
