Some years ago, I was put on Gabapentin, which helped. I was started on a low dose, which didn't help at first, but when the right dose was eventually reavhed (800mg) it took the evil pain away. I was on them for about 3-4 years, and gradually reduced them. From time to time I get a flare up, not as bad as it originally was. I hope you can continue to escape this awful affliction. Best wishes.

No I have never experienced the pain of Trigeminal Neuralgia.
As you are now pain free,I should hold back on the Tegretol and Naproxine and keep them in hand for the first signs of pain in your face and then start on the dose mentioned of each of the tablets.
It may recur or not, it is just a matter of waiting and see.
