I have just set up my old lapop and everything is ok except for one thing.
I went into 'start up' somehow and as I was told by someone to put most of the items in it to sleep to make my laptop faster I did that. Now...........
Every time I look at something say in Docs or other folders I get an annoying box at bottom of screen which says like ' Avast Cleanup -sleeping and waking up'
I want to go back and put these back to normal at startup but I cannot find where I put them to sleep!!
Uninstall Avast complety, reboot pc. Open a document to check that it is now opening as you want it to. You can download Avast again if you want to, but leave the blooming settings alone :D
Are you using W10?
If so, type
start up
in the search box bottom left and click on Start Up Apps. Is that the page you were on to change your settings?
Windows 10!
I found a list of start up apps and it showed Avast enabled - so I disabled it but....
The list I first saw was different and listed sleep and ignore but I cannot now find that list as going in search set up does not bring it up.
I am sure you are correct Old Geezer as I put most of them to sleep in that list but not Avast!
Thanks both
