But it might be worth consideration. If the crawling sensation is under the eye, towards the cheekbone, it might be the fore-runner of trigeminal neuralgia. This is when the trigeminal nerve fires without any stimulation. Sometimes it causes pain, sometimes a crawling sensation - with me, I get pain and a crawling sensation over my cheekbone and numbness down towards the side of my nose. The trigeminal nerve has three branches which run from the temple. The first branch goes along the cheekbone under the eye, the second to the side of the nose and the third goes down along the jawline. If you Google trigeminal neuralgia, you will find a lot of information on it. However, that information is about the condition in its "mature" form. You can stay in the preliminary form for years and years and it never gets any worse. Mine has been the same now for about two years. Trigeminal neuralgia tends to attack over-forties - so it may not apply to you. Hope it soon gets better.
