Do I Have Chronic Nerve Damage?
2 Answers
I used to practice Aikido , which has a lot of hand bending, twists, and all that. around 7 months ago I hurt myself during lifting at the beginning of a day and at night I went to practice Aikido.
I hurt both my hands that day , but my left hand had major damage , it hurt so much. I went to the doctor . he said no big deal and gave me some anti inflammatory. I stopped doing nay sports for sometime and actually felt much better. Now I returned to practice for some days. first two days were good and didn't feel anything. I even forgot that I was once hurt. But now things are returning , my left hand feels a little weak and sometimes I feel a little tingling sensation. It is not that bad , I can see that my left hand is still strong, I lift weights and all that. but i don't feel totally alright about it.
I fear I hurt myself permanently. So my question is : how do i know if i have permanently hurt myself or if I have a chronic situation? Thank you...

Unless I know which nerve is invloved I cannot say whether it will be a chronic condition or not.
