Bulk E-Mails From G Mail

I want to send a bulk mail out from my G Mail Account.

I have tried sending a batch of twenty mails out - no responses, when some would be expected, even bounce backs.

Tried four batches of five, same result.

My question is - is there a problem with bulk-mailing in G-Mail, and is there a way of setting up a 'received' and 'read' system?

Thanks.

You could try including yourself on the recipent list, and see if it arrives.

Hi Atheist - I have sent a 'test' mail to myself, it did not arrive, so there may be a problem, but I have no idea how to start fixing it!

Any advice gratefully received.
Andy. If you sent a mail to yourself, does it show up in your sent mail folder? Has it actually arrived in your inbox now that a few minutes have passed?
When Bulk/Mass emailing through Gmail, I usually just compose an email, add the email addresses to BCC and send that way.

I don't think I've ever sent targetted emails (each one personalised) in bulk. It was my understanding that you couldn't do that with a standard gmail account - you'd need to link accounts and use other software.

Hi Xeromena, I have sent the mail with one recipient and the rest as BCC's, which has worked previously, but not today.
I've run a load of test, with multiple email addresses in different configurations. It's odd that you're not getting any bounce backs or any status reports for that matter.

I take it you can send single emails fine from gmail? They show up in sent and are received by the recipient?
By 'single emails' I mean an email with one recipient and no CC/BCC's.

Yes i can.

I have sent test mails to the other two G Mail accounts I hold, both have come through OK, and one to my daughter who has an Outlook account, and she has received it.

All my bulk mails are to mainland USA and Canada, not sure if that is a factor.
That could be a factor, not being able to email the US and Canada. I take it that they are personal email addresses (as opposed to business email addresses that anyone could find online)? The reason I ask is that if they were publicly known, I might be able to trace the problem.

One of the sites I check is: https://downdetector.co.uk/status/gmail/

I take it that the recipient email addresses are different domains, not just gmail.com?
Why not sign up to a mailing site - for a club that I’m in we use Sendinblue. Others are available.

Its free to sign up to - and that gives 300 emails per day. You can pay if you need to send more than that.

You can import your contacts from a csv file, and you can add or remove from within Sendinblue. You can make mailing lists - we have committee members and members lists.

You can preview and send test email before sending the real thing.

You can see who has opened the email - if they haven’t blocked tracking within their email account.

I should add that your emails will show as being sent from your email address.
