I Like A Guy, But He's From Different Caste. We Love Each Other, But Marriage Seems Difficult In This Relationship. Should I Breakup?
10 Answers
His family is searching for a daughter in law, and my age is comparatively lesser than his. His family wants him to get married as soon as possible. And that is the reason they are ready for any girl they meet, conditions applied she should be from the same caste. Beautiful or not, tall or short, younger or elder, working or not, well educated or not, they are ready for any girl. Since the guy is not ready for marriage for any girl he doesn't match vibe with, the family is getting failures only, otherwise they would have settled all the things. (Also, the family would not agree upon love marriage.)
Now coming to my family, they are open for love marriage. But, I have 2 elder siblings, both are unmarried. Also, the guy earns 40k per month, and I earn 30K per month. This is quite decent. But obviously, both of our families would want us to search for a partner with higher income.
We both never came across anybody, we could match vibe with. We have similar interests, we know how to make each other smile in difficult times. We know how to support each other. We know how to calmly resolve a conflict (if arises). We know almost everything about each other now.
We have possibilities to get married, but still the chances are very very less.

If you really love one another it's worth trying to persuade your families. Maybe asking a family member with less strict views to intercede in your behalf. If you show respect to your families views but also show you could be a good match, not because you love one another but because you would work well to create a good family, and he has plans to work towards being able to earn more you might have a chance.
I gather it is illegal to discriminate on grounds of caste but I know it means a lot to some families. You just have to hope that having unmarried children means more to the older members. Good luck, you could always try to find work abroad and emigrate if all else fails.
