Will You Lose Muscle Mass If You Sit?

I am getting obsessed with walking and can't even sit for a minute I'm scared that I'll loose muscle mass. I do light workouts from Monday to Friday but on weekdays I'd only have little time to exercise and I'd have to work in office for hours. I've seen articles everywhere saying you'll lose muscle and get obese if you sit too long something like that and that scares me too much and now I can't even get myself touch the chair for a second. Sitting has become just mentally uncomfortable for me but I know I can't just stand for 9 hours working, any advice?

Obsession is dangerous and unhealthy, you've got to find a balance.
Sit whilst you are working, walk to work or before/after work and do a bit of strength training 3 or 4 times a week. Push ups, sit ups and planks followed by a few Burpees will be enough.
Or take up a sport such as football, tennis, swimming. Mix it up a bit.

You actually need relatively low levels of activity to maintain muscle mass. 30 minutes every other day would be enough but certainly
30 minutes a day would be ideal.. It sounds to me like you may be developing something called orthorexia, which usually manifests as an obsessive need to exercise. You have realised you are developing a problem and it will be much easier to treat at this stage.
Remember you need rest periods for muscles to repair as well as exercise.
