Hi there Just to say my prostate exam went fine it was over very quickly 3 minutes maximum and it was mildly uncomfortable and I have a low pain threshold so I would recommend that men here get it done. Fortunately my prostate is fine however on examination of my stomach I felt a lot of pain when being examined in my groin area I asked him where it was he said it was in the bladder area and the pain is still there after passing urine. Has taken a lot of blood and suspects it is a bladder problem or a bowel problem not sure? He is referring me first for a cystoscopy to rule out anything dodgy in the bladder. Good thing no blood in urine but can you get cysts in the bladder or cancer without passing blood ?

glad you came through it okay, gordy.

Sorry I can't answer your last question.
Thanks for the feedback geordie.
As expected , normal sized prostate, so off to the Urologist.
Not unheard, but one can get bladder cancer without bleeding.....but unusual.
Glad it went well. I have been subjected to the "cold finger" examination. More discomfort, than pain really.
The cystoscopy may make your eyes water, but it's not that bad. I've had that done for kidney stones.
Hope all goes well for you.
