Horror As 'Man Doused In Bleach' In Busy...

When I had my accident & fractured my spine 2 years ago they also diagnosed me with osteopenia & tendinopathy. The tendinopathy is/was in both hips, but worse in the left one. Ihave read up on it and it says that in many patients it clears up within 6 months. Unfortunately mine has got worse. My left hip has anyway - right has stayed the same. I am not overweight, I am on co-codamol for the pain, which isn't helping one bit. The only way I can describe it is it feels as though it's permanently on fire - literally burning. I can't lie on my left side. I can't walk without being in extreme pain. I have been back to my doctor several times, last time just last month, but he just shrugs his shoulders as if to say well that's life! Whether it's because I'm sat there physically looking perfectly well & healthy, because obviously pain is hidden, I don't know. I read yesterday that sometimes it can be linked to thyroid issues, and I have hypothyroidism, so I don't know if that's anything to do with it. I just know that at the mo this pain is rather all consuming and tho I try to be as cheerful on here as poss, and with family, it's really getting me down.
Sorry, thats my moan over x

That study seems to suggest that it's unclear as to whether or not physiotherapy might help. However this link, from the website of University Hospitals Sussex, appears to indicate that it could present a possible route forward for you. So perhaps it's worth asking your GP about?

Your GP might also be able to refer you to a specialist pain clinic:

Hiya, Ive actually got a referral (long long overdue) to a pain clinic re my spine, in April. The course of spinal steroid injections I was meant to have stopped after just 1 and nobody seems to know why I never got the date for the 2nd one - everyone fobbed me off onto someone else, each who said I was 'On the waiting list'. So I imagine I could discuss this also with them whilst I am there?
Hi Patsy, I had one spinal injection last July, I was meant to then keep having them every 3 months. When I didn't get an app for the 2nd one I rang, I emailed, you name it.... the hospital said that I was on the list to be booked in for the 2nd one. But have still never ever received it. I've spoken to my doctor, anyone I can think of , they all say the same thing - I have to wait! I don't even know if I am actually on any list!
