Christmas In The Good Old Days

I hope the above ladies are all well and enjoying life.
I'd just like you to know I miss you and always enjoyed reading your posts, AB is not the same without you. I don't suppose any/all of you would consider returning? Please? Pretty please?? 💐

Returnees either like to continue where they left off, or manufacture a new personality for themselves.
Hopefully, those who have been absent for family/health reasons will find their situations much improved and come back to join those of us still searching for the way out.....😁
Waves to Vagus :) How kind of you to ask after us all. Haven't been on AB for a while and was conceited enough to search my name! Just for newmodarmy - I have not registered under any new name. I hope you and yours are keeping well, Vagus.
I cannot answer for the other ladies, but not doing too well here tbh. I have been addressing my health recently and have been in contact with my GP who has been very attentive. Lots of appointments and hospital tests/investigtion. Had 3 diagnoses of late, 2 that I can live with but the 3rd is not so good. I won't go into details but I have it all to do now so just have to get on with it.
I had to nominate a new NoK after OH died and chose to use my dearest friend whom I have known for many years and we share the same sense of humour, thankfully. She knows me better than any other soul and was happy to take on the role. I couldn't use a family member - all in their 80's: one lives in Australia, one is blind, one has nil mobility - lives in Cumbria and the last one who lives in the Midlands is seriously ill. Others are 2nd/3rd cousins how ever many times removed so not my choice. One hospital I attended insisted I should chose a relative - really? Another hospital accepted my friend's nomination willingly. (I had signed a statement explaining the nomination and had it witnessed.) So much for uniformity, eh.
All I can say is thank goodness for close friendships! It was hard for her yesterday when we were called into a Counselling Room at the hospital. I was comforting her ;) She was so annoyed that she now weighs more than I do - that gave me a really good laugh :)))
Whilst I am on here, I would like to wish all the best to those who are having their own health problems including Lofty Lottie, Peter Pedant, retrocop, jourdain2 - apologies to those I have missed out, there must be a few.
Thanks for the shout-out, Vagus xx
