Do I Tell My Friend Tell My Friend I Work In Selco?

One of my friends I haven't told her I work in selco as I don't know if should now. I feel bad lying but if I'm going to leave not sure I should.

Because they reduced so I have to look for something otherwise Im happy.

I can't see why you keep it secret.  There's nothing wrong with working at Selco - or anywhere else that provides an honest living.

No of course there's nothing wrong with it I been working there nearly a year but finance wise I'm being forced to know.

What does staying with or leaving Selco have to do with your friend?

I know but a full time job came up which if I still had it I'd be staying but now there's a transfer on checkout probaly won't have more hours now. What do I say to my friend?

Have you told your parents yet and do they know you only work 10 hours? If you don't tell your parents when you live with them I suppose it would be odd to tell your friends. Does anyone you know know you work at Selco?

Yes my parents do know but didn't tell them until I was there a month. All my other friends know.

But last timei asked you hadn't told your parents it was only 2 hours a day...you were pretending to be out at work all day.

How do you keep track of what you have and haven.t told each person you know. Uts far easier just to tell the truth and talk about the real life situation. They may be able to offer advice.

Yes not to start with but I do go out after work as be bored home all day. Yes they might be able to give advice but it won't change what selco do about my hours.

Abbey, if you do manage to get another job - maybe a 'proper' one, with full-time hours - I think you should stop this deeply entrenched habit of hiding things from family and friends. They'll all be used to your job history and there's no need to make a secret of things. They'll be used to your job history over the years, know how you got on (or otherwise!) in all the different places you've tried.
