Does anyone know what purpose blisters have.every so often i get blisters on my feet.they always turn into hard skin when they dry out.is that their purpose

the purpose of friction blisters is to stop you rubbing a hole in your skin. The blister hurts which alerts you that there is something wrong, then it produces a serum filled bursa to allow the underlying flesh to heal. The fact that you have generated a blister at a spot makes it likely that your body will need to take long term measures by producing a callous (hard skin)
