Painkillers causing nausea

I have sinusitis in my eye (never had it in my eye before very strange!) and have been given co-drydomol and 600mg tablets of ibuprofen. I know co-drydomol plays havoc with my stomach so only took 2 doses and then switched to normal paracetomol and the ibuprofen. However, I am still getting stomach ache and feel sick constantly. I hate feeling sick - has anyone got any miracle cures for nausea?

I'm not supposed to take Co-Drydomol as I've had two duodenal ulcers in the past. However, when I was in severe pain, my GP tried me on them again, but told me to stop if they didn't agree with me. I was in agony after only taking two, so had to rely on other methods!

I find Motilium 10, absolutley brilliant for nausea. It actually reads on the box that they are for nausea & heavy bloated stomachs. You can buy them in any chemist. Perhaps you could phone the practise Nurse at your surgery, or ask the pharmacist for advice, before giving them a try.

Ibuprofen will make you feel sick unless you take it on a full stomach. On an empty stomach it can make your stomach bleed a little, but usually not enough to cause a problem. Aspirin is the same. Safest for the stomach is plain paracetamol.
