Spiderman 2 game...need serious help

there's a "challenge" where i am supposed to save 6 people from a burning fire, but you're lucky if i can save 2 lol. i have a set time to do it...but no matter how hard i try, i just cant. its my fav game but im so stuck!!
someone please help me!! how do you do it?!?
