Strange taste in my mouth!

I have a very strange, salty/metally taste in my mouth which I,ve had about 10days. Teeth and gums fine, no bad breath...trust me, I've held a poll!! No bleeding or ulcers but tongue all split down the sides!Tastes like i've been chewing 2 penny pieces and rinsed it down with a seawater shot! No change to toothpaste or diet! Help!!

Hi, are you female? Could you be pregnant? A metallic taste in the mouth can be a sign of pregnancy!!! Just a thought...

Sorry, yes, I'm female. Not taking iron tablets, but taking cod liver oil and vit b6. Hadn't realised that pregnancy cud be a cause! Not that I'm aware of, but thanks for the repy..off to lie down, gone all faint!! x

Do you have Epilepsy?
Sometimes that can be a warning sign that you might have a fit. Having a taste is also known as an aura.

Could it be the cod liver oil tabs repeating?

No history of Epilepsy and have been taking the Cod liver oil tablets for a couple of months. Tast lasts all day and gets stronger as the day goes on. At work now and apart from a blinding headache and fighting the urge to fall asleep where I stand, constantly rolling my tongue around my mouth like an old heffer....I'm the picture of health! Nix.

Yes i suppose I do. No more or less than before tho. Diet remains fairly unaltered, water intake slightly increased along with stress levels, but other than that, cant pin point it down to any one thing. Dentist tomorrow so will see if he can throw any light on it. Thanx all, for ur replys. x

Maybe you should pay a visit to your GP also. Just to rule out a few things.
