I would say not being able to go to no2's is probably the main symptom

the same symptoms as anyone else...
they can get very lethargic, and feel sickly, in some cases they do get a temperature,if a child is very constipated take them to the docs

thanks everyone - sorry for my very short question! I'm potty training the little one and had to dash off suddenly ( dad was in the loo) -
it's my middle one - aged 5 - she complains of a tummy ache every evening from about teatime. She moans and groans a bit and then has a good night's sleep.
In the morning she's fine and remains so until teatime again.
I'm not sure if just become a habit. She's not really one for swinging the lead, as it were. I don't want to bother the gp if it's only constipation.
She has been a bit "firmer" lately, but eats masses of fruit and veg.
Anyway, I've got a mild laxitive, on the chemists advice. Hopefully that will solve the problem. thanks x
make sure she drinks plenty of liquids as well as eating lots of fruit & veg
