I am curious as to why, in the majority of people's eyes, this man can do no wrong at all. I do not have strong feelings either way for him, or Heather Mills but I am absolutely astounded as to how she is being treated by the public. Everyone seems to hate her and Jonathan Ross was applauded for his comments last night. She was married to him for 4 years (after being together for 3 years) and has a child with him so she is as entitled to a percentage of his money as all women in that situation are. I remember when Rod Stewart was being slagged off in the papers for going out with Penny Lancaster after Rachel Hunter left him and he remarked how extraordinary it was that he was seen as a dirty old man even though his wife left him & Paul McCartney, who started going out with Heather Mills less than year after his wife of 29 years died was portrayed as a grieving man trying to get on with his life.
I used to love the Beatles and have all their albums but this does not make me think that Heather Mills is the anti-christ. In fact, I actually feel sorry for her. So why does everyone hate her so much and think that he is completely innocent in everything?
Tend to agree with you Carol...I have no particular feelings for either of them, but its just horrible the way she is being hounded at the minute. No one ever knows what goes on really in other people's marriages. There are 2 sides to everything, but in this case,it appears that he is automatically seen as a saint cos of who he is,and she is the sinner cos of her past.I feel sorry for little Bea.
carol you have a very valid point, they both need to grow up and keep their divorce private since when did paul mc become a god ? no one made him marry her in the first place, j, ross comment was dreadfull it has become a witch hunt,
Oh get a life you lot. If she wasn't just after his money she would take a reasonable settlement and go quietly. She knows that the more she pushes for the more the press will slag her off. Lets face it, she's gonna end up with a good few bob whatever happens.
To be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less, but I have noted that Heather is the one shooting her mouth off. Paul has had the decency to keep quiet until the court proceedings which, in my opinion, is the right thing to do. It's nobody's business but theirs and she should not be courting either good OR bad press at this stage.
I think they were both fools to get married in the first place and the whole thing is unspeakably dull. The person I feel sorry for in all this is the child, despite the appearance of loving parents in front of her, when she is older she's still going to suffer because of this either through being able to read all this cr*p for herself or being informed by other children/adults.
I agree with Scotman, heather cant keep her mouth shut and shes making it into some kind of publicity stunt, so you may well say they had 4 years together and a child, which is very true, so why doesnt heather think that way!! When that child grows up she will read all the stories from mummy but daddy kept his mouth shut. No one knows the situation but Paul is a very wise and mature man to leave it for the courts. This woman has already proved that she lies about her life after all the stories came out from her dirty past. No one can change my mind I dont like her.
I am a huge Beatles and Macca fan, but I can't have any sympathy for him for his current predicament because he must have been the only person on the planet who couldn't see this happening when he took up with that woman! Mills is a gold digger of the highest order. I remembered the allegations of her prostitution and that she had done the porn pics when it was first announced they were together, so surely Sir Paul would have been aware of her murky past. His children warned him about her and the general public perception of her was she was a fantasist with a less than ideal history, it seems Sir Paul wasn't very bright and it's going to cost him a lot of money
Oh yes, Paul who only ever spent one night without Linda because he loved her so much but 6 months after she dies was "friends" with Heather. A fickle man who married a fickle woman-she should be glad she got anything as he is regarded as such an amazing man and icon by the whole of the U.K , though god knows why
