Why have I had tummy bugs twice in 2 weeks?

I had stomach pains/upset and sickness only two weekends ago and have had sickness and violent lower stomach cramps,just like labour pains going round my back and into the front. and an upset stomach this week as well. I didnt know you could get them so close together.? By strange chance my dogs have also been ill for the last two weeks with tummy upset/sickness.I am very clean and have cleaned everywhere with bleach after the dogs and alwas washing my hands, could I have caught something from them? would any one know.? Dogs on tablets ect from vets. Brenda

Could it cryptospiridium in the water supply?

Many thanks for your replies. I did wonder if my dog picked up something in the water that she was drinking in the garden, the bird bath,and anything that holds water.As for myself I have had a pain in my right side/back just above my waist line, so could be kidney infection.Maybe I need a trip to the vet as well.Brenda
