merina coil (not sure how spell)

Has anyone got this coil, would like to know about it, side effects etc. I have had it suggested to me that i have this fitted as i bleed every 14 days, sometimes very heavily??? please read my question on polycystic ovaries.

This coil is brilliant, i had it fitted a few years ago and highly recommend it. This is how good it was, i never brought any sanitary product in the 3 years i had it fitted. But saying that it might not suit you...............Its worth ago and if your not happy with it , they will take it out for you.

kitteneyes, can i ask how old you are and if any side effects???

Like kitten I have found this coil to be really good. At first however I had a long and heavy period 3/4 weeks and was beginning to think It was not for me but then I had two light periods about the right cycle, and then none 4 years on no periods and no side effects.
Really sorted out heavy, painful frequent periods and bad pmt. As kitten says if it does not suit it is reversible!

thanks for that, just dont like the thought of having it fitted etc, maybe too old for it, would only need for heavy periods, not as a contraception as hubby had snip. does it do anything for sex drive, i dont have one any more, and because i know things arent right inside, the thought makes me feel sick!!!
