Psoriasis on scalp...
4 Answers
I have very thick, long hair and I suffer terribly from psoriasis on my scalp, by my left ear and above and on the back of my head. No-one can see it so that doesnt bother me but the itching is almost unbearable. I have tried T-Gel shampoo but it stinks and I have tried creams but they make my hair all greasy and it is impossible to apply properly. Does anyone know of any tablets or herbal remedies I can try that won't "kack" my hair up? Thanks.

I use T Gel and get on ok with it although there is another one called Polytar which you can get from Boots. Supplements wise I take Starflower Oil and Vitamin E capsules (from Boots or Superdrug)which help to keep the scales minimised. You can use the oil from the capsules and apply it directly to the affected area or take it with water in the usual way.

I have suffered psoriasis for about seven years now and used to have it all over my body. I still get it in my hair, but a good shampoo you can use is alphosyl which boots or superdrug stock. Iv'e also discovered from the lush shop a soap bar, called soak and float which has worked wonders for me and clears my psoriasis in one wash.
