teeth grinding
13 Answers
Hi, ive suffered with teeth grinding now for many many years, which result in terrible heaches nearly every morning and sometimes throughout the day too, it leaves me feeling depressed and tired, i have had 2 gum shields made which makes no difference, ive been on dithiopin relaxants, which i weened myself off as they were making me drowsy throughout the day, so i was wondering if anyone else suffered with this problem and what helped them? thanks. ps ive also tried Hypnosis which didnt help either.

You sound a very nice person, thought i would just say that. Take care. xx
Hey Timirra,
I can't really help but can certainly empathise! I grind my teeth at night and seem to have a permanantly clenched jaw. I asked my dentist for advice and he told me to have a holiday. I was so enraged I couldn't even speak! What makes him think I wouldn't have a holiday if I could afford it.
I have started yoga which is helping with the tension but I think I have a way to go yet. xx

Hi, ive tried hypnotherapy, no good, waste of money, as for the other poor person, i think she should change her dentist, at least mine tried and advised gum shields which are horrible things and tablets which did work and helped my relax but i think ive just got to learn to get on with life, with or without headaches. xx
