in response to AB Eds comments (4 questions down) on the regularity of questions relating to infantigo, could I make a little suggestion please. If googlers are being directed to this site for answers about infantigo, would it be possible to have it featured on the home page so that they don't clog up the Body and Soul section? Just an idea..........

coggles - good idea! That is more likely to be spotted by new users. (But sadly it seems necessary to add that if the question does get asked anyway, and anyone feels obliged to be extra abusive or rude, their accounts will be terminated!)

Hi Coggles, I like the way you think! I believe Google directs people right to specific pages within AB, though, and bypass the home page. What the Editor could do, if he has the free time and the inclination, is to edit each appearance of the word "infantigo" by changing a few letters to asterisks, so that Google can't find any matches to that word on this site. Every instance of "infantigo" could thus be altered to "infan**go", or something. It would solve the problem!

[More good thinking! Most of the in***tigo referenes aredeleted after a period that ensures the question and answers have been read (will clear more now). Googlers see the word listed on index pages of each category - whern this drops of the INdex page of Body&Soul, the volume of questions should fall off. - AB Editor]

What i don't understand is this:
when a new user tries to post a question about it, they are shown a list of previously asked and answered questions (7 for infantigo and 18 for infintigo). Why do they not look at one of these questions? Would that not be more sensible??

[The search facility depends on the title of the question, so unless the title matches they won't be offered those previous questions. And of course a newbie won't realise how the site works, and certainly not that this topic has stirred such passions. We were all new once! - AB Editor]
