Exhausted and achey....

Hi, I've felt like this for around a month. No matter how much sleep I do get (or how little I do) makes no difference. It's like I'm dragging my feet and weigh twice as much. Not like me at all.
Spoke to my Dr who prescribed vitamins???!!! and hinted at me being an alcoholic or depressed of which I'm neither. Also going for blood tests after Easter.
Just wondered if anyone out there has had the same or similar and has any advice.
This is really starting to get me down.
I work 24/7 shifts (hence the time!) but i've been doing this for years so know it's not related.
Many thanks for taking the time to read this.

Maybe your shifts are catching up with you. We all get older. I think your doc is right. I went on a course of vits a few years ago because of similar symptoms. I was just `run down` but it could be anything. Blood tests will sort you out. Chin up.
I went through this last year, I was knackered all the time. The reason for me was that I had been getting up very early to take the dogs for an hours run before work and not going to bed early enough. In the end I changed our exercise routine and had longer in bed in the mornings and I went back to normal. Hope you get sorted. P.S. if you don't get any joy from NHS try a chinese herbalist.

Hi, don't want to be alarmist or anything but have you checked your gas boiler/appliances (if you have any), do you have a carbon monoxide detector? Sorry don't mean to scare you its worth checking out though. Good luck with blood tests.
dont know whether your male or female but if youare female have you thought that you might be pregnant?
Hypothyroidism. Symptoms also include dry flakey patches of skin and or dandruff, feeling the cold and weight gain to name but a few. xx
