Hi all, I bought a pair of trousers on Saturday to go to my dads 60th. They were black and baggy trousers & really gorgeous!!
On the way to my dads, in the car with my sister, i noticed it seemed the colour was coming of the trousers on to my hands when i touched them.
It was no fun at all! My arms, hands legs & knees are stained, also the new shoes i bought aswell on saturday to wear with them, they are pretty much ruined.
Also having had my nails done saturday morning (acrylics & painted with designs) they are now stained black and it will not wash off :(
Got back to my mums, and also her cream leather sofa is also stained from where i sat before i went out!
Am i within my rights to not only take them back but write to the complaints or h/o & explain that i am not amused at having alot of stuff ruined by them?

I used to work in retail and had to process claims like this fairly regularly. Be prepared to wait sometime though as the forms that you will be asked to fill in in the shop will need to be sent to the retailer's Head Office and Insurers. Good luck, let us know how it goes!

I agree with Sasha13 - I had a similar thing happen to me, and the shop refunded the porice of the item, plus compensated me for the other items that were ruined. I think it will depend on the retailer involved as to how easily your claim is settled - if it is a big store like M and S they should deal with it quickly but a smaller firm might go through the Head Office procedure as mentioned above. Good luck!
that is not accetable at all! I would most definitely take them back and not budge until they reimbursed me for everything, right down to my stained nails!
I got a pair of shoes once and they were fine when I walked around my abode with them but when I wore them out killed me, I took them back and got a refund so I have no shame!
