Itching

Since having problems with their teeth a relative now has severe itching on body, has anyone ever had this? Is it a nerve thing? Or, maybe nothing to do with teeth! Anyone ever have this condition? Any diagnosis for it and anyone know of anything to alleviate the problem? Thanks in advance.

Has your relative been given any antibiotics following their problems with their teeth? It is possible it could be an antibiotic reaction. Itching can occur as a reaction to penicillin, and penicillin based antibiotics are commonly administered to treat dental infections.

Failing antibiotic treatment, I'm not really sure at the moment. I'll have a think and get back to you if I think of anything.

severe itching can be caused by certain liver problems, def get them to visit the doc.
