High temp and pains in back and side
2 Answers
I have suffered for about 5 years with what is like a kidney/water infection.
The symptoms are high temperature, feeling tired and lethargic (may be the fever making me feel like that), go to the toilet more, thirsty, pain in either one side of back/stomach or the other side (it varies). Currently have a pain that feels stitch like in my left side a bit higher up. Every single time in the past I have been to the doctors with this I have given a urine sample which has shown that I have an infection. My doctor is brilliant so I trust him when he doesnt seem overly concerned. I have had a blood test to see if it showed up anything and there was nothing. I have not got a clue why I keep getting this. When I get it I am so weak I cant do anything!! Help!

Book another appointment with your GP and tell him you are fed up with the recurrent infections. Ask him to refer you to a specialist if he cannot give you a satisfactory answer.

The blood test will show whether your kidneys are working efficiently and obviously they are. It could be that your Dr has lost sight of the fact that you are having reoccuring horrible symptoms and only looking for the kidney damage element. Your problem may be with you bladder. You need to see a specialist as Ethel says.
