does anyone do this? please would someone explai the concept of th ediet to me? I am currently doing weight watchers but i have heard from a few people that you lose more weight faster on SW than WW.I have a wedding to go to next months and would really like to lose another half stone by then!!!!

Hi I did slimming World a few years back and you have green days or red days. Ongreen days you can eat unlimited pasta, potatoes, rice and veg and on red days unlimited lean meat and veg. Basically it is a low fat diet and you can still eat meat on green days and vice versa as long as you count it as a healthy extra. If you want to find out more there is a Slimming World magazine available to buy without actually joining.
My wife has lost 4 stone using Slimming World, and has kept it off.

The idea behind green and red days is that if you eat protein (red) and only protein it will be fully digested, and likewise with carbs. It is when you mix both groups then neither is digested fully and the excess calories get deposited as fat.

As has been said, you can eat unlimited food as long as it fits into either the green (carbs) or red (meat) groups. I have lost 2 1/2 stone so far and although I have come to a standstill, I know its my fault for not sticking to it and at least I haven't put the weight back on.

oh right - thanks. I'm thinking of swapping but dont want to pay to join as i have a season pass for WW - so if i just eat pasta/rice/cereal on one day and the next day just eat meat? Can i eat fruit on the green days?
Yes, Fruit and Veg are Classed as Free Foods so you can eat as much as you like (excluding Potatoes Peas and Sweetcorn, which are only free on Green Days). You also had you A & B foods, A foods are your calcium Foods such as a specific amount of Milk or Cheese (normally 28gm of Cheese). of which you have to have 2 A's a Day, and then B's which are you Fibres such as your breads and Crackers. these are all set amounts and you must eat them otherwise you don't loose as much. It also means that on Green Day you can have a set weight of Meat as a B food or on a red day you can have a set weigh of potatoes (128gm) with you massive steak! Hope this helps but let me know if you need any more help, i help out at one of the groups. I Have lost just over a stone, but i am eating a lot more healthy and feel so much better. One girl in my class lost 7 stone in 18 months, and she hasn't put any of it backl on!
Your A & B foods are you Healthy Extras, mentioned in a previous post.
Just remember one thing though.....a diet that may work brialliantly for one person, may not work at all for another. My mum has tried SW a few times, loses weight slowly but always puts it back on. My sister on the other hand, has lost over 7 stone with SW!!!
