numb leg

i have slight numbness on my leg about 3 or 4 inches above my ankle on one limb. i can only feel it when say i touch it and it seems to have developed since i went to the gym - is it connected to a nerve in my back????

It sounds like you may have strained a ligament, or trapped a nerve - either will respond to treatment from an osteopath - your GP will refer you.
It could be Sciatica I have it sometimes and the symptoms are all linked to the nerve of that name in the back.As well as numbness in the ankle you can also get numbness or tenderness up the side of the leg and a dull pain in the hip.Its becuse of pressure on the nerve in the back caused by bad posture due to back problems.
