ummm, whats flying got to do with the channel tunnel?
Its a train and pregnant women travel by train all the time.
Question Author
yeah i know that, but its not a normal train that goes along on top of ground, it travels miles under the sea so the train is therefore pressurized like a plane, see now what i mean?????
No, a plane is pressurised artificially, but to a lower air pressure than we feel at sea level.

A train is not pressurised.
exactly - go to France have fun
The reason that pregnant women are not allowed to fly in the later stages of pregnancy is not to do with the pressure, it is because they don't want to deal with a birth on the plane.

i emailed euro tunnel just to ask, its not as simple as " yes of course you can go" we have to get approval from her gp.
The carriages are pressurised under the channel by the way:

Hi Ethel, yes im aware of this, but it seems some of us arnt, they probally have never travelled on it, so in which case they dont know what i am talking about.
Must be slight positive pressure to avoid any smoke or fumes in the tunnel entering the carriage. I can think of no other reason to pressurise them.

Certainly different from on a plane where the air pressure is equivalent to that experienced on an 8000 foot mountain.
If its going to be a problem for you take the ferry, i did it at 8 months pregnant and I was fine, had a lovely day and then came back again.
