Hi, weird title I know. My wife has been feeling sick everyday (she is currently in her 9week of pregnancy) and is worried because yesterday and so far today she is not feeling bad at all. Should we be worried?
Thanks

There is no set rule for how sick you must feel and how long you must feel sick for. I was never sick and only gagged when brushing my teeth whereas a friend of mine is due her c-section next week and is still suffering from morning sickness.
sickness can come and go very suddenly. Its perfectly natural for a woman to worry about her baby throughout pregnancy but it is probably just the end of her sickness.
She can always call the early pregnancy unit EPU at her hospital for advice.

Dont be worried......be thankful! lol
As redcrx has said, theres is no rules when it comes to morning sickness. I never had morning sickness with my daughter, this time round it is totally the opposite! Im 12 weeks now and the past few days, the sickness has seemed to have got worse. I understand you both being worried though, when I was 7 weeks I stopped getting any symptoms after having had the lot. I had a panic about it but it soon came back and 5 weeks later at my 12 week scan, everything was absolutely fine.
I would say she is just being lucky if her sickness is easing.

Dear Dean & Mrs Dean! Absolutely right what the others have said - she's a lucky girl to have stopped feeling sick (and also to have such a caring hubby!!). I was only slightly sick in the first 2 months of my pregnancy & then sailed through the rest (it was pasta that made me bad, but I love it). I'm guessing this is your first baby? luv to you both :) K xx
Cheers, Dean - you sound a lovely couple! Crave away, Lorraine, but don't overdo it - it took me ages to lose excess weight after I had my "little darling" (he's 18 now & 6ft 3in, but I still remember it like it was yesterday & how proud his dad was, when he was born!). Keep us all posted, won't you? K xx

Rest assured everything is fine ~ as redcrx says, your wife can always ask the midwife for advice. As the pregnancy progresses she may get other symptoms...heartburn, backache etc. And when she can only waddle around, not tie her trainer laces up or shave her legs and sleeping at night is a pain because she can't get comfy, she will wish the symptoms would disappear again :o)
Congrats, btw ~ you must be excited xx

Hi all!
I'm dean's wife Lorraine. Just been reading all your answers - so helpful - i was starting to worry! i've had an insatiable appetite for the last few days - all that worries me now is that maybe we aren't only 8 weeks pregnant, maybe it's more hence why i feel ok, but it seems that some ladies' symptoms stopped around this time so maybe yes, i am one of the lucky ones! in a weird way though the morning sickness was comforting because i knew i was pregnant. now i feel quite back to my usual self (apart from my 3 donuts a day!)

Hi,
I posted a question last week about something similar. Just to reassure you that i was out of my mind with worry about lack of symptoms....but i have just had a wave of nausea that has returned- after a week of nothing!!! I know how it feels though...it seems like you are not pregnant anymore and the wait for the first scan is so long!! I'm sure everything is fine, so good luck!!
