Menopause
3 Answers
Hi all, I will be 39 in January and for as long as I can remember my periods have always been very regular. Only recently, (the last 2 months) they have been coming 2-3 days earlier. Is this the start of the menopause? I thought I wouldnt get it for another few years yet. Many thanks.

yep, sounds like peri to me too. you'll probably find it will all settle down again for a while (maybe even a year) then something else will rear it's head (severe pms, sleep disturbance, heart palpitations, anxiety - the list goes on!!) . if you google up peri menopause you'll find a lot of information about it all, like all 35/36 symptoms of menopause, and join or browse a menopause forum where you'll get a lot of support, advice and information about it all. helps to know that there's lots of others going through the same stuff, and read what they've done about helping themselves deal with it. good luck.
Hi Dorindarasbe - I am having exactly the same problems as you - which I noticed quite dramatically since February this year, I am 40 next year and my periods have been all over the place sometime having 2 a month only last 3 days, then going up to 40 days without one! I have now kept a calendar of 'events' so to speak and they are settling back down to a regular pattern but going from long to short - long to short cycles....I can once again pin point my due dates again....keep a diary though, I found this helps me - I get very sleepy at least 2 days before my period these days too! Im coming back as a man next time lol!
