have you seen your GP or called NHS direct for advice?

any chance you may be pregnant?
Question Author
havent been to doc yet no but might give nhs direct a call. It is possible maybe preg but feel like im about to come on my period (hope thats not too much info!!) Do people get hot flushes when pregnant?? many thanks anyway.
i do! if your period isnt due yet then theres not a lot you can do. theres some tests that can work before your period is due but they are only about 50% reliable.

It could be a number of things though so speak to NHS direct if you havnt got time to see GP
I would suggest contacting your gp, but the first thing that went through my mimnd was that you could be pregnant. Keep an eye on what you are eating and drinking too and see if it is something there that might set it off.

v strange. did preg test 1st thing this morn and not even a hint of a blue line. (boo!) dont even know when my period due cos came off pill in may but periods come bout 7 weeks apart. so frustrating. thanks anyway guys, I appreciate your response.
If youve eliminated the possibility of your menstrual cycle and pregnancy, my next thought would be the possibility of some scarring in the duodenum. Are you suffering from any reflux? Or do you find youre often burping, or you have the feeling of heavy indigestion. Have your bowel movements changed recently. Are they different in consistency, such as tarry looking, black, or the appearance of being sticky? Share a bit more with us and we might be able to offer more specific thoughts. However, as we all state, its important to contact your GP. Besides numerous relatively innocuous solutions, there can also be more serious issues.

I wish you well

i`ve been getting flushes for ages, having bloods done this mon, as also have awful indegestion (i know) and bad tummy ache and trapped wind! really odd combination, put mine down to stress at work. after all, whos buying houses now!!!! xx
It sounds like the possibility of a Duodenal Ulcer starting up.very much so, especially with the hot flashes (but could also be associated with an early menopause, but I eliminated that because of your description of your stomach, wind, etc.)

Have a look at:

This is sounding more and more commensurate with the symptomologies youve described.

I hope this helps
