My I-pod of 18 months has broken, its been used an awful lot.

My question is...How do I use my existing I-Tunes with the new I-pod?

Are you sure it's broken, and doesn't just need resetting ? (Method varies, but try pressing and holding the menu and centre buttons at the same time for 10 seconds).

iTunes: unless you have elected to manage your libraries completely manually, won't your new iPod automatically synchronise with the existing library ?

Hi Whiffey,

Yes I have tried resetting it numurous times, but to no avail.

I have had a quote to get it fixed, but they want �80. I'm thinking that it might be worth buying a new one as this one is the old 60gb and not the 80gb.

I'm not sure if the new I-pod will sync but I will try.

plug the new iPod in as normal and it'll sync your music across like normal.
