Hi

I get really bloated easily during the day at work, even when I havent eaten, sometimes the bloatedness is so bad i look pregnant!! also it causes me pass alot of gas! I have recently started a new office job and am not doing as much exercise as i used to, but surely this couldn't cause me to get bloated this much as I am not completely unactive? Sometimes it gets extremely uncomfortable! Any suggestions much appreciated!! Thanks xx

Not sure what could be causing your problem hiya, but it may be best to ask your doc or a pharmacist. It may also help if you eat breakfast before leaving for work too.

If I feel bloated, which isn't that often, I take a Motilium & it does help. http://www.motilium.co.uk/

Can you cut out things like white bread and dairy for a week at a time and see if that helps?

Also, try taking charcoal tablets when you feel bloated, they work for me!

Thanks! I have had this problem for about 4 months now! I am going to cut out bread an diary (does this include skimmed milk by the way?!) also should i cut out pasta?

Yes cutting out pasta would also be a good idea, and stick to brown rice.
And yes, all milk is dairy, even skimmed! ;-)

Its possible you may have IBS which is very common. Go to your GP and tell them your symptoms. They've heard and seen it all before. x

is inflammation of the liver serious? could this be to drinking alot of alcohol, i am thinking of going to docs but going to cut out pasta diary n bread first! does anyone else suffer from the same thing? Also I pass alot of wind! sorry to put u off your lunch!
Trust me, I know EXACTLY how you feel, I used to sit here in agony and literally looked ready to give birth! Its worse cause your at work at your desk and shuffling around, rubbing your tummy in your chair needing to ........!!! but cant so you have to hold it in and this makes it even more uncomfortable (sorry but you will know what I mean)..... and this lasted for months....

Well..... heres what I did, as mentioned above, I cut out all white breads and white rice / pastas and no word of a lie I havent had a bloated stomach since, it really does work!!! I actually prefer the taste of brown bread and pasta now!
Oh also, avoid chewing gum!

Give it a go and I bet you will feel so much better, good luck x

Thanks Twinkle! yes i know exactly what your talking about!!! I am defintely going to try that, the thing is I love my pasta and have heard that wholemeal pasta is disgusting?!?! x
If it persists hiya & as mentioned earlier, you really should seek the advice of your GP. They know best!
Me too hiya!!! I could eat buckets loads of the stuff.....I used to have pasta sandwiches!! and still do when I know im not coming into work!! Ha ha...

Trust me, wholemeal spaghetti is yum but I still have to have the white stuff for a spag bol!!

Otherwise, as others have said if it persisits go to your doc x
