Have i tonsillitis

Not been that well the last couple of weeks, no energy had a weird throat for half a day then went,sick just once a few days later thought it was the after effects from the crimbo party, now feeling like crap again tired, and my tongue at one side at the back feels like it has been burned by drinking something hot, my throat doesnt hurt though, is it worth going to the docs for this, taking paracetamol or ibrofen when needed, my son says that side of my tonque is inflamed anyone else had this weird illness recently seems to go away and then come back, no sneezing or cold as such!!!

Generally with tonsilitis the tonsils are visibly red, swollen and are often covered with white patches or flecks - it's unmistakeable. Also swallowing is virtually impossible.

However back of tongue can hurt and this often extends to the neck also there's often a higher temperature.
However there are so many strange viruses about that it could be one of those that has some tonsilitis type symptoms. If it doesn't clear up in the next day or so I'd check with GP.
